Hello my name is Juan, I am twenty four years old and I come directly from Panama. I arrived to Japan one month ago, and so far it has been a wonderful experience. Right now, I am taking my master course in naval architecture and ocean engineering, and my research topic is to develop new straightening methods to correct welding distortion in ship hulls. When I heard about the English cafe, I decided to sign in immediately, because I want to improve my English skills and at the same time I would like to know people from Japan and other countries. Message from a staff student of last season

I studied in Osaka University for the international exchange programme from South Korea. I was very glad to be able to participate in English Cafe as a staff before going back to my home country. I am majoring in engineering of mechanical and aerospace. I like to draw pictures and so to read Japanese manga. I am very interested in Naoki Urasawa's mangas these days. I also have a hobby to bake. But as I did't have an oven in Osaka, I felt regretful to be unable to bake anything. However I have fancied Formula 1 since I had arrived in Osaka, so now F1 is totally pleasing me, taking the place of Bakery. I will be welcoming you no matter you’re interested in F1 or not.
